Artist-in-Residence – CLEAR
Pam spent a number of months attending weekly lab meetings at CLEAR and in conversation with lab members developed a project that focussed on how we make knowledge. What IS scientific knowledge? Who gets to make it? How do knowers transform their knowing? What do we KNOW about knowing? Were some of the questions we explored together. Out of these conversations came a blanket… a cloth… a de-constructed lab coat sewn back together after pieces were marked by each participant. Multi-authored, readable from any direction, and stitched together to adorn the feasting table in the lab, the blanket/cloth/once-a-coat is now owned by the lab and reminds them of their own thinking about knowledge and knowledge about thinking.
