The Punt Premise—What We Know About Cod

In 2019, Pam returned to Fogo Island to work with Shorefast as they visioned the refurbishment and reclamation of  the Punt Premise – four buildings in Joe Batt’s Arm active during the inshore fishery. Working partially as curator, and partly as artist, Hall helped imagine the conceptual and physical spaces and how they might engage visitors with this important history and its knowings and doings.

Her work included What We Know about Cod, a four panel suite made with Roy Dwyer of Tilting, that shares a tiny bit of everyday knowledge about that fish so foundational to life on Fogo Island.
