Artist in Residence, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University
Hall spent two years in The Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University as their first artist in residence. This was a major project for her – and the deep engagement with a non-art community on a daily basis, proved transformative to her life and practice in many ways. She created and installed work reflecting on many aspects of her experience in this community of clinicians, medical students, and medical educators and her interactions there deepened her interests in the body, in ethics, and in the terrain of “healing”.
This project was supported by The Art Gallery of Newfoundland and Labrador, The Faculty of Medicine, and The Canada Council for The Arts.
